Wang Lab @ Fudan University

We are a research group at the Institute of Metabolism and Integrative Biology (IMIB), Fudan University. Our lab integrates computational biology, artificial intelligence, single-cell omics, and spatial transcriptomics to decode metabolic programs, cellular states, and disease mechanisms across obesity, fibrosis, hematopoietic aging, and cancer.

Research

What We Do

We combine state-of-the-art single-cell omics, spatial transcriptomics, long-read sequencing, and computational modeling to investigate metabolism and disease biology at cellular resolution.

Decoding Metabolic Signatures Across Complex Diseases

Applying multi-omics approaches to dissect the molecular underpinnings of obesity, metabolic syndrome, and cancer. We leverage large-scale datasets to identify metabolic reprogramming signatures, uncover how metabolic dysregulation drives disease progression, and reveal potential therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Pan-fibrosis Therapeutic Discovery

Using single-cell and spatial technologies to map shared and disease-specific cellular mechanisms across fibrotic disorders, identify conserved therapeutic targets, and accelerate pan-fibrosis biomarker and treatment discovery.

Computational Tools & Digital Metabolism

Building novel algorithms, digital metabolism frameworks, and integrative multi-modal analysis pipelines to quantify metabolic states, identify cellular programs, and generate biologically interpretable models from large-scale omics data.
